My love for striped tops and my dislike for loose, short necklines have made sewing with knits a favorite hobby of mine. Striped t-shirts are a wardrobe staple of mine, and they were one of the main reasons I started sewing in the first place. I struggled to find striped colorways I liked, as most of the options followed the dull trends of current day fashion. And even when I did find a color combination I liked, the necklines were never right, the sleeves were too short, or the fit was either too loose or too tight, just a slew of issues for the simplest garment. Sewing countless knit tops has allowed me to master the art of knitwear sewing and perfect the fit of my tops. Tight mock necks and stripes have become a signature part of my style, and with my ability to sew, they’ll always be a core element of what I wear.
